terestrial HDTV signals are broadcast in the UHF band, it should work, but some digital signals are not at home, too. Outdoor antennas seem to work better.
The Consumer Electronics Association has devoted a separate web page to select the right antenna for your area.
I recognized the link.

We use a 25-foot, 14 gauge, a powerful theme Home Depot and get 30 HD channels. It is only 7 cents per foot and is white, so I do not see along the wall in the living room. We have several short cables with other key, so they have a chance, is connected to collect specific, hard to find stations. For a few dollars to try it.

If it works well for the old analog channels, which works well for HDTV (ATSC) and broadcasts.
